Morning from LA.

With Devin Setoguchi injured and Cal Clutterbuck banged up, the Wild recalled former Gopher Jeff Taffe.

Setoguchi was placed on injured reserve. As I've written, I think this is a long-term injury, but at the very least now, we know he'll miss the next three games because I.R. is seven days to the date of the injury. So he's eligible to come off next Wednesday.

Taffe, 30, had five goals and 17 assists in 23 games for the Aeros. He's 6-3 and 210 pounds, played high school hockey in Hastings and was Mr. Hockey in Minnesota in 1999.

Taffe has played in 175 NHL games with the Coyotes, Rangers, Penguins, Panthers and Blackhawks and has 21 goals and 23 assists.

He was a first-round (30th overall) pick of the Blues in 2000.  While in college, his rights were traded to Phoenix for Keith Tkachuk and he left the U after his 34-goal junior season, a season in which the Gophers won the NCAA title, to sign with the Coyotes.

Taffe signed as a free agent with the Wild in July. He'll wear No. 19.
