They were nominally co-headliners. Or at least Dwight Yoakam received more time – 70 minutes -- than your typical opening act. Then Sheryl Crow played for 90 minutes at the State Fair grandstand on Sunday.

Both, of course, had performed in the area, at casinos, earlier this year. Yoakam did a generous 110 minutes at Treasure Island in January, and Crow offered a headline set at Mystic Lake in late June that was very similar to her State Fair playlist. By contrast, Yoakam cut a couple of chunks from the middle of his Treasure Island set list – mostly tunes from 2012's excellent "3 Pears."
