Call it a bit of holiday counter-programming.
Cirque du Soleil will bring an arena show to Target Center starting on Christmas Day. "Varekai" is an adventure story that orbits a wanderer. The show is set in a magical forest.
"Varekai," which has been on tour since 2002, is directed by Dominic Champagne, a playwright and show-maker who has worked with Cirque for two decades.
"Varekai" will have seven performances, Dec. 25-28, at Target Center. Tickets, which range from $40-$100, are available online or 1-888-929-7849.
