Funeral services for bestselling Minnesota author Vince Flynn have been set for Monday, June 24. Flynn, creator of the Mitch Rapp counterterrorism thriller series, died early Wednesday at United Hospital in St. Paul after battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer for more than two years.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Av., St. Paul. A 9-10:30 a.m. visitation for family and friends will precede the service, according to a family statement released Thursday.

Flynn, born in St. Paul, and raised in Apple Valley, has sold more than 15 million books in the U.S. alone and millions abroad. His 14th novel, "The Last Man," was published last year.
