Twins update

The Twins are 9-6 against Cleveland this season, having won four of the five series. … They are 3-3 at Progressive Field, dropping two of three the last time they visited, in August. … Joe Mauer is 6-for-14 with one RBI against Carrasco. … Brian Dozier was in an 0-for-10 skid against Kluber before hitting a homer off him Wednesday at Target Field. … Dozier had two hits on Sunday, giving him a career-high 146 for the season. … The Twins are 13-12 this month. The only month they finished with a winning record was when they were 20-7 in May. … Kurt Suzuki is batting .306 over his past 17 road games. … The Twins will have Tommy Milone and Ricky Nolasco available out of the bullpen this series. Nolasco warmed up late in Sunday's game but was not brought in.

Indians update

Jose Ramirez is the Eduardo Nunez of the Indians. Teammates laugh because his helmet easily flies off his head as he runs. He's also batting .333 in September and was a home run shy of the cycle Saturday. … Cleveland beat Kansas City on Saturday to move a game over .500 for the first time since April 9. … Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco are the first Indians teammates to each strike out more than 200 batters in a season since Luis Tiant and Sam McDowell in 1967 and '68. … Outfielder Michael Brantley has not played since injuring his right shoulder at Target Field last week, but signs point to him returning Monday. Brantley is batting .375 with seven RBI in 10 games against the Twins.
