TWINS UPDATE

As they did in 2014, the Twins and Brewers are playing a home-and-home — after these two games, the teams head to Milwaukee's Miller Park for two more. The Twins were 2-4 against the Brewers last year, including 1-2 at Target Field. … OF Byron Buxton is expected to return to the starting lineup Monday. He hasn't started for three games after being hit on the left hand by a pitch, but he entered Sunday's game vs. the Angels as a pinch runner in the eighth and ended up scoring the winning run four innings later. … With 3B Trevor Plouffe nursing an intercostal strain, look for Eduardo Nunez to start at third base to keep his hot bat in the lineup. Nunez was 1-for-5 Sunday but is 6-for-12 over his past three games...the Twins lost to Peralta the last time they faced him — June 5, 2014, at Target Field — but Oswaldo Arcia hit a home run off him.

BREWERS UPDATE

Milwaukee went into sell mode at midseason last year and the rebuilding project is in full effect this season under new General Manager David Stearns. At $63.9 million, the Brewers began the season with the lowest payroll in baseball. … Anderson, acquired from Arizona during the offseason, is a strike-throwing sinkerballer who likes to mix in a changeup and an occasional curve, and the Brewers have won in both of his starts. He pitched five shutout innings in his debut against Houston, then gave up three unearned runs over six innings Wednesday at St. Louis. The Twins drafted him out of high school in the 42nd round of the 2006 but failed to sign him; three years later, the Diamondbacks took him in the ninth round. … Former Twins RHP Matt Garza remains on the disabled list because of a strained lat.
