Analysis: Vinci, ranked No. 43 in the world, appears to have little chance. This is her first Grand Slam semifinal and she's 32. She is 0-4 against Williams and has not won a set in any of those matches. Their most recent meeting was in the quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup on Aug. 14 in Toronto, which Williams won 6-4, 6-3 in 78 minutes.
