Bob Seger is coming to the Twin Cities with his Silver Bullet Band, and Paul Simon will show up here without Art Garfunkel. After last year's Simon & Garfunkel tour got derailed by his singing partner's throat problems, Simon is striking out on his own. He will perform May 2 at the Minneapolis Convention Center's auditorium. Tickets, from $52 to $127, go on sale at 11 a.m. March 12. With 3,400 seats, the convention center is being eyed by concert promoters as a stand-in for Northrop Auditorium, which is closed for renovations.

Seger, who performed in St. Paul in 2006, has set May 12 for a Twin Cities gig, venue to be announced later. Tickets will go on sale March 19.

Also, the St. Paul Saints' Midway Stadium will welcome the 93X Fest on Memorial Day weekend (May 28) with Godsmack, Queensryche, Hollywood Undead, Black Label Society and more 8. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $40.
