Tickets are on sale now for the Burnsville Rotary's night of laughter with Chicago's well-known comedy group, the Second City. Featuring improvisational and scripted elements, the group will perform its "Laughing Matters" show. Preshow entertainment, including live jazz, complimentary appetizers and a silent auction, will begin at 6 p.m. on April 27. The main event begins at 8 p.m. at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center, 12600 Nicollet Av. All proceeds benefit the Burnsville Rotary.

Seating is reserved, and tickets can be purchased at the box office ahead of time or at the door for $39. VIP meet-and-greet tickets are available for $75 and include a chance to meet the cast after the show.To order group tickets or for more information, call the box office at 952-895-4680. Carleton Orchestra readies winter concert

The Carleton Orchestra will present its winter concert, featuring works by Beethoven, Barber, Tchaikovsky and others, under the direction of Timothy Semanik. The show begins at 8 p.m. on Friday in the Concert Hall at Carleton College, on First Street E. between Winona Street and Nevada Street. The event is free.
