A search for a missing St. Cloud State University student is expected to resume Thursday after surveillance video showed him walking across a Mississippi River railroad bridge moments before he disappeared early Saturday.

Search teams have scoured the river and the shoreline since Jesse A. Dady, 21, a Princeton, Minn., native, went missing. On Tuesday, search crews focused on the area under the bridge.

"Due to water currents, water visibility, and general river debris, these searches are both dangerous and difficult and often do not lead to underwater recoveries," St. Cloud Police officials said in a written statement Wednesday.

Authorities said the latest surveillance video, along with other information gathered during the investigation, indicates that no foul play is suspected.

The latest surveillance video shows Dady walking alone east onto the railroad bridge. Other video shows him moving across the bridge. Although the quality of the video is poor because of darkness and distance, it appears Dady was one-third of the way across the bridge when he disappears from view, indicating he may have fallen.

Authorities point out that the railroad bridge is not for pedestrians, has no rails, and is difficult and dangerous to walk on.

Anyone with information about Dady's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 1-320-251-1200 or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 1-320-255-1301, 1-800-255-1301, www.tricountycrimestoppers.org or by text. Enter 274637 ("Crimes") start the text with TRITIP. Then enter a space before the information.
