Search term: The search engine will try to match any word or words typed in the search term field. The words typed in the search term field are treated as individual terms, however, not as phrases. So the search engine will try to match each word individually.

Headline: The search engine will try to match any word or words typed in the headline field with the story headline as it appeared on StarTribune.com. The headlines that appear with stories on the web site are not always the same as the headlines that appear with stories in print.

Print Publication Date: By using the Print Publication Date field, you can search for stories based upon the date they were published in the Star Tribune newspaper. This may not be the same date on which the story was published or updated on StarTribune.com.
