Sure, they could have stayed home and watched “Dancing With the Stars.” But more than 300 guests waltzed into the Minneapolis Marriott City Center for CornerHouse’s annual Let’s Dance fundraiser competition.
Local celebrities — Minnesota Public Radio host Cathy Wurzer, Minneapolis City Council Member Jacob Frey, musician Ryan Bynum and KSTP-TV (Channel 5) anchor Jessica Miles — were paired with professional dancers. Returning champions Miles and partner Shane Haggerty secured their title for another year.
Proceeds from the event benefit CornerHouse, a nonprofit dedicated to providing family support and professional training to ensure that children grow up free from abuse.
