At its first gala, Galore: Professional Hmong Women's Network rolled out the red carpet, complete with paparazzi-style photographers. Glamorous4Galore featured a formal dinner, silent auction and raffle, plus a star-power performance by Pagnia Xiong, a soulful singer who has been called the Hmong Celine Dion. Proceeds go to Galore, which was started in 2004 by a group of female Hmong professionals and business owners. The mission of the organization is to build strong networks and help Hmong women develop their personal and professional selves.
