A 51-year-old man has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a crash in central Minnesota.
Kraig A. Menke crashed late Friday afternoon while on Benton Drive at 1st Street S., about a mile south of his home in Sauk Rapids, police said Monday. Menke died that same day.
Police said Menke was not wearing a helmet.
"We are trying to put it all together, how he crashed and if another vehicle turning in front of him was part of the cause," Police Chief Perry Beise said Tuesday. "At this point, we are gathering video from businesses in the area and letting the State Patrol reconstruct" the crash.
Menke's obituary in the St. Cloud Times noted that he had a passion for motorcycle racing.
