DeLaSalle rallies for win at Shootout

BASKETBALL • BOYS

• DELASALLE 74, MORGAN PARK (ILL.) 66: The Islanders, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit for the victory in the Timberwolves Shootout at Target Center. Sacar Anim scored 31 points and Jarvis Johnson added 18 points for the Islanders. Morgan Park guard Marcus Lovett scored 26 of his game-high 39 points in the first half as Morgan Park opened a 35-25 lead.

• APPLE VALLEY 79, OMAHA (NEB.) CENTRAL 49: Gary Trent Jr. scored 26 points to lead the Eagles, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, to the victory in the Timberwolves Shootout. Brock Bertram had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles.

• CHAMPLIN PARK 75, RICE LAKE (WIS.) 71: J.T. Gibson scored 24 points and Jeremy Johnson scored 20 to help the Rebels, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, hold on for the Timberwolves Shootout victory. Henry Ellenson had 39 points and 18 rebounds for Rice Lake, which trailed by 12 at halftime.

• MINNETONKA 79, WHITE BEAR LAKE 55: The Skippers, ranked No. 2 in Class 4A, made 13 three-point field goals en route to the victory. Courtney Fredrickson scored 23 points and Hannah Hedstrom scored 21 for the Skippers, who led 48-24 at halftime.

• OSSEO 84, BLAINE 67: Kiara Russell scored a career-high 31 points to lead the Orioles to the Northwest Suburban victory. Mikayla Homola contributed 20 points for the Orioles. Sha'Ron Miller scored 19 to lead the Bengals.

HOCKEY • BOYS

• CRETIN DERHAM-HALL 2, WHITE BEAR LAKE 1: The Raiders rallied for two goals in the third period to secure the Suburban East victory. A wrist shot from Nick Reis evened the score and five minutes later Ryan Smith tapped in a pass from Joe Dekker for the winning goal.

• ST. THOMAS ACADEMY 7, SOUTH ST. PAUL 0: Tom Stang and Alex Broetzman each scored two goals as the Cadets, ranked No. 3 in Class 2A, skated past the Packers.

HOCKEY • GIRLS

• HILL-MURRAY 6, CHASKA/CHANHASSEN 3: Jac Kaasa's hat trick paced the Pioneers, ranked No. 4 in Class 2A, to the victory.
