SECTION 2 • SEMIFINALS

• EDEN PRAIRIE 2, CHASKA 1 (OT): Senior midfielder Omeed Berenjian fired a shot into the upper corner from 25 yards out five minutes into overtime, advancing the Class 2A, No. 2 Eagles (15-1-4) to the finals with a victory over the Hawks. Teammate junior midfielder Alex Wittig broke a scoreless game with six minutes left, only to see Chaska tie it and force the overtime with just two minutes remaining.

• BLOOMINGTON JEFFERSON 1, EDINA 0: Sophomore Cole Erickson scored the only goal in the 19th minute as the Jaguars shut out the Hornets.

SECTION 5 • SEMIFINALS

• MAPLE GROVE 1, CHAMPLIN PARK 0: Senior Matt Adams scored the lone goal midway through the first half as the Crimson beat the Rebels. Sophomore Cody Cropped recorded his 10th shutout of the season.

• OSSEO 4, PARK CENTER 2: Senior midfielder Whitney Browne recorded a hat trick, bringing his season total to 31 goals, leading the Orioles past the Pirates.

SECTION 6 • SEMIFINALS

• WAYZATA 2, ARMSTRONG 0: Junior Calvin Koep scored with two minutes left in first half in the Trojans' victory over the Falcons. Senior Michael Morales added an insurance goal in the waning minutes of the game.

SECTION 3 • QUARTERFINALS

• HOLY ANGELS 2, ST. PAUL ACADEMY 0: Juniors Joe Laue and Aaron Haworth scored 10 minutes apart in the first half, leading the Stars past the Spartans.

SECTION 4 • QUARTERFINALS

• BLAKE 4, RICHFIELD 0: Joe Ali, a senior midfielder, had two goals, as the Bears defeated the Spartans. Ali opened the scoring in the first half on a header off a corner kick by Austin Dressen in the third minute. His second goal, in the second half, made it 3-0. Sophomore George Ordway and senior Michael Ankeny netted Blake's other goals.

• LAKEVILLE SOUTH 3, ROCHESTER MAYO 0: Senior Mari Greene had two goals, one in each half, as the Cougars eliminated the Spartans.

SECTION 3 • SEMIFINALS

• EASTVIEW 2, APPLE VALLEY 1: Senior forward Marissa Price scored both goals, lifting the Lightning over the crosstown-rival Eagles.

• VISITATION 6, ST. PAUL HIGHLAND PARK 0: A.J. Montanez, a senior forward, had two goals in the Blazers' victory over the Scots.

SECTION 6 • QUARTERFINALS

• ORONO 2, ROCKFORD 1: Senior forward Erin Garfield scored both goals for the Spartans in a victory over the Rockets.

VOLLEYBALL

• EASTVIEW INVITATIONAL: The host Lightning won their own tournament for the first time in school history. Class 3A, No. 5 Eastview (22-4) knocked off third-ranked St. Michael-Albertville 25-19, 25-22 in the finals. Sophomore middle hitter Ashley Murtha led the offense with eight kills. Junior Lauren Grant and sophomore Kelsey Shile each added six kills. Defensively, seniors Stacy Kuhlmann and Kaiti Wachter had 20 and 19 digs, respectively.
