The better team won on Tuesday.

The Lynx beat San Antonio decisively 85-67 at the Target Center to win their best-of-three Western Conference series. That makes the Lynx's home record 16-3 with Phoenix coming in for another best-of-three series starting Thursday. The winner advances to the WNBA finals.

Runs of 10-0 and 17-0 in the first half helped the Lynx get comfortable and take a 44-36 lead. And, unlike in Game 2, the Lynx players looked for each. Maya Moore, Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Seimone Augustus all had four assists and the team had 20 in all. The Lynx had only 11 and 14 in the first two games.

Posts Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Rebekkah Brunson both came up big, with 16 and 15 points. Combined they had averaged eight points in the first two games of the series.

"My team and the coaching staff put together a great game plan," said Augustus, who scored a game-high 22 points, "and we executed [it] to the fullest and did [it] at home in front of our own fans."
