Sammy Schmitz, the Farmington High School graduate who has qualified for the Masters as an amateur, will tee off at 10:16 a.m. on Thursday.

Schmitz will be paired with Canadian left-hander Mike Weir and Cameron Smith, an Australian whose best finish this year is an 11th-place tie at Pebble Beach. Smith has two Top 10 finishes in his years on the PGA Tour.

The threesome will be the first group off the tee in Friday's second round, starting at 7:20 a.m.

Also in the field is Spring Lake Park native Troy Merritt, who played college golf at Winona State. He will tee off at 10:27 a.m. on Thursday and 7:31 a.m. Friday.
