The Saints scored seven runs on 10 hits against Sioux Falls starter Joe Bircher and defeated the Canaries 10-5 Friday at CHS Field in Game 2 of a four-game series.

Tanner Lubach collected his first two home runs of the season in the win, and drew two walks for the Saints. Nate Hanson also homered, hitting a two-run shot for his 12th of the season.

Wolves sign guard

The Timberwolves on Friday officially announced the signing of 6-6 guard Marcus Georges-Hunt, a deal reported earlier this week.

Georges-Hunt played four seasons at Georgia Tech, starting 129 of 130 games. He was second team All-ACC as a senior, when he averaged 16.7 points and 3.3 assists.

The undrafted 23-year-old played for Maine in the NBA developmental league last season and was third-team all-league.
