The Philadelphia 76ers released forward Royce White on Thursday, according to reports from the Philadelphia Daily News and NJ.com.

White played for DeLaSalle and Hopkins high schools in the Twin Cities and started his college career with the Gophers but didn't play before leaving for Iowa State. He was the No. 16 pick, by Houston, in the 2012 draft.

"[Shout out] to the Sixers," White wrote on Twitter. "Good luck to my boys, great guys. Be well."

White, who suffers from generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks and a fear of flying, suited up for five exhibition games for Philadelphia, averaging 5.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 turnovers while shooting 39.1 percent.
