The tag: The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft by the Twins.
His situation: The 18-year-old shortstop is playing rookie-level ball for the Gulf Coast League Twins in Fort Myers, Fla.
Early returns: Through 19 games, Lewis is hitting .319, slugging .556 with an OPS of .958, fourth best in the league. He has three home runs and has struck out eight times in 72 at-bats.
Money man: The native of Aliso Viejo, Calif., signed for $6.725 million, a record for a high school player under MLB's current draft guidelines. He signed for about $1 million under slot, allowing the Twins to give more money to other draft picks.
