Memorial services were held Tuesday for one of three teenage friends who were injured in an SUV rollover southwest of the Twin Cities last week, authorities said Monday.

Front-seat passenger Dackotah Montgomery, 18, of Le Sueur, Minn., was not wearing her seat belt when the vehicle rolled Wednesday on a Sibley County highway, according to the State Patrol.

Montgomery was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale and died 14 hours later, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

Services were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Le Sueur for Montgomery, a senior at Le Sueur-Henderson High School.

Makala R. Molter, 18, of Le Sueur, was at the wheel of the SUV on northbound County Road 17 about a mile south of Hwy. 19 in Kelso when it crashed shortly after 11:30 a.m., the patrol said.

Molter and passenger Dakota Slack, 16, also of Le Sueur and a sophomore at the high school, survived their injuries. The patrol said Molter was wearing a seat belt, while Slack was seated in back and not belted in.

Molter, who graduated from the same high school in June, lost control on a curve and overcorrected, then rolled numerous times and landed upside-down in a ditch to the right of the highway, the patrol said.
