The Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka Robins continued its quest for a second straight state title in the PI Division of the Adapted Softball state tournament with a convincing 15-5 win over Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville/New Prague.

Seniors Brendan Bosker-Elliot and Calvin Gerdt each had homeruns to lead the Robins' offense.

Junior Izear Joiner went 3-for-3.

The Robins had a .649 team batting average throughout the season.

The tournament is being held at Coon Rapids High School and will conclude Saturday.

In other adapted softball (PI Division) games:

Dakota United 11, Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville 1 (F/5): Charlie Schultz had three hits and scored a run to lead the Dakota United Offense. Cooper Chelstrom went 2-for-2 with two runs.

Anoka-Hennepin 16, St. Paul Humboldt 7: Tyler Ezell and Cole Andrzcyzak each had four hits, four RBI and scored three runs to lead the Mustangs past the Hawks.

CI DIVISION

North Suburban 16, Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville 13: Nikoli Marr had a 3-run homerun that led to five runs in the third inning. Garrett Keen drove in two runs with his double that capped a 5-run sicth inning for the Blazing Cats.

South Washington County 19, South Suburban 4: Jack Swedahl went 3-for-3 for the Thunderbolts, he also scored three runs. Tyler Wylie also had three runs.

Chaska/Chan./Prior Lake/Shakopee 12, New Prague 4: Tyler Johnson went 4-for-4 with two runs to lead the Southern Stars over the Trojans. Cody Wood and Nathan Castenada both hit home runs.

SOFTBALL

Edina 13, Hopkins 11 (F/15): Molly McHugh hit a 2-run walk off homer to send the Hornets to the state tournament for the first time since 1979. The junior went 4-for-8 with six RBI. Hannah Sundem led the Edina offense, going 6-for-8 with two RBI. The game stretched for two days as play was suspended on Thursday night during the tweflth inning, due to darkness. The game was tied at eight.

BASEBALL

Delano 4, Cooper 3: Matt Carson's walk off base hit kept the sixth seeded Tigers' season alive in the Section 3AAA playoffs. Carson had two RBI. The Hawks led 3-0 after the first inning, but Delano tied it after the fourth inning. Jack Paulson went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

St. Michael-Albertville 4, Buffalo 0: Marus Krupke pitched a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts and allowing three hits. Paxton Thompson hit an RBI double. Will Anderson went 2-for-3 with a triple.
