Jorja Fleezanis and her husband, Michael Steinberg, have left their signature on their seventh-floor loft, which is for sale in downtown Minneapolis.

The couple are moving to Indiana, where Fleezanis, longtime violinist for the Minnesota Orchestra, will teach orchestral studies at the University of Indiana.

Fleezanis and Steinberg bought the condo in the Humboldt Lofts building, a stone's throw from the Mississippi River and the Guthrie Theater, three years ago. To add warmth to the 12-foot-tall concrete spaces, they built floor-to-ceiling bookshelves out of natural birch in almost every room. Next they introduced splashes of vibrant color in furniture, on the kitchen cabinet fronts and with large area rugs.

The corner loft's tall windows offer views of the city, the river and St. Anthony Falls. Fleezanis said she will miss living downtown, with its many historic buildings and all the activity below.

"We really got a feel of the urban rhythm, from the river as it flows toward the falls, to people hanging out on the Guthrie bridge," she said.
