'Who Brought the Humbug?'
This brand-new holiday show comes from Twin Cities tapper Ricci Milan, one of the founders behind the internationally touring Rhythmic Circus. A riff on Ebenezer Scrooge's favorite expression, the show stirs mystery theater with a holiday revue — will joy and holiday cheer prevail over grumpiness? It also boasts a party-like atmosphere with top-notch tap dancing, a seven-piece horn band, Minneapolis funk, beatboxing and more. Guest dancers and musicians will appear each night, including Herb Johnson III, Kat Perkins and Esera Tuaolo. (7:30 p.m. Thu.-Sat., 1:30 p.m. Sat., 4 p.m. Sun., through Dec. 16, the Lab Theater, 700 N. 1st St., Mpls., $30-$45, 612-333-7977, thelabtheater.org.)

Music Review: Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' is great sad pop, meditative theater
Who knew what Taylor Swift's latest era would bring? Or even what it would sound like? Would it build off the moodiness of ''Midnights'' or the folk of ''evermore''? The country or the '80s pop of her latest re-records? Or its two predecessors in black-and-white covers: the revenge-pop of ''Reputation'' and the literary Americana of ''folklore''?
