The Vikings interviewed Josh McDaniels for their offensive coordinator position on Jan. 7 and presumably are waiting for him to choose between Minnesota and the St. Louis Rams.

The NFL Network reports that McDaniels likely will make his decision in the next day and that he'll "probably" sign with the Rams. The former Denver Broncos head coach interviewed with the Rams on Saturday.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has not revealed many details about his thinking in regards to his staff so it's unclear which direction he will go if McDaniels chooses the Rams. Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell remains on staff but Frazier has been noncommittal about his role going forward.

Frazier also must hire a line coach, running backs coach and quarterbacks coach on the offensive side. He is expected to hire Mike Singletary to coach linebackers with Fred Pagac being promoted to defensive coordinator.

He also must hire a new special teams coordinator after Brian Murphy left for the Carolina Panthers.
