Report: Favre helped recruit Tomlinson

Favre's involvement another sign that he expects to return next season

March 15, 2010 at 6:06PM

The Vikings obviously lost to the Jets in their pursuit of LaDainian Tomlinson, but a telling detail has emerged from that recruitment.

Bob Glauber of Newsday reports that Brett Favre was involved in Tomlinson's recruitment, according to a source. Glauber wrote that Favre and Tomlinson spoke on the phone.

Most people seem to think that Favre will play next season and Glauber's report is just more evidence that Favre likely will return for a second season with the Vikings. It probably will just take some time before he announces his decision.
