APPLETON, WIS. -- Vikings quarterback Brett Favre told NFL vice president of security Milt Ahlerich on Tuesday that he left voice mails for Jenn Sterger but did not admit to sending her any inappropriate pictures, according to Fox's Jay Glazer.

The NFL is investigating whether Favre sent Sterger both inappropriate pictures and messages in 2008 when he was playing for the New York Jets and she was working as an in-game host for the franchise.

Glazer, who said Vikings vice president of legal affairs Kevin Warren was in on the meeting, also reported the NFL wants to get its investigation completed as soon as possible and that it could be wrapped up this week. ESPN's Chris Mortensen later reported the league plans to conclude its investigation within the next week or 10 days.

Sterger has yet to speak with the league and it remains unclear if she will decide to do so. A decision is not expected to be made today.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said in an e-mail that the league is not commenting on any details of the review.
