Patrick's Cabaret is shutting down temporarily and coming back bigger and better next March. Here's the note that Patrick sent out Friday. It's so perfectly stated that it would be a crime to rewrite:

DEMOLITION!! REVOLUTION!! CONSTRUCTION!! GRAND REOPENING!!

Been to the Cabaret? Did you stand in line at the bathroom door, waiting... waiting... waiting? Yeah, we knew it was inconvenient. And the bathroom itself, well, funkier than a public bathroom really needs to be. Now, thanks to a grant from VSA and our Faerie Grandmother, we are going to go from just 1 bathroom to 5! Five really nice beautiful bathrooms, each with its very own sink. But, in order to do this, we have to demolish our lobby, dig holes in floors, put in new light fixtures, paint, and so on.
But that's not all! We also have a large (1,780 sq ft) space that shares the back hallway with Patrick's that is available for long-term lease starting March, 2012. With its own private keyless entrance. Its own brand new heating and air conditioning, operating skylights, off street parking, and you can configure that space any way you would like because it will also be fresh from acquiring new bathrooms.
We will be closed beginning December 19th. But we expect to be open for rehearsals and classes by early to mid-February 2012. Stay up to date with our progress by visiting www.patrickscabaret.org or our Facebook page where we will post pictures of the work in progress: deep holes, sharp angles, unidentified tools, and plenty other interesting developments.

Grand re-opening in March, 2012.
