• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., holiday breakfast, 7 a.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 2nd Av. S. Tickets $30. More information at www.mlkbreakfast.com.

• St. Paul Central High School Auditorium. Observance runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a discussion of the Council on Black Minnesotans 2013 Legislative Agenda, a community march and program.

• Augsburg College hosts the 25th annual Martin Luther King Jr., Convocation at 1 p.m. in Hoversten Chapel.

• Minneapolis Parks host youth activities at Powderhorn Recreation Center, 3400 15th Av. S., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Feeding the Dream Community Food Drive, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Recreation Center, 4055 Nicollet Av. S. Go to www.minneapolisparks.org.

• The Tower Bell Foundation performs an annual Martin Luther King concert on the City Hall courthouse's bells, noon to 1 p.m.

• Calvary Baptist Church, 2608 Blaisdell Av. S., Minneapolis, hosts a 6:45 p.m. service reflecting on King's work and celebrating with music and song.
