The Quote

"You get out there and the lights are way brighter than they are at EP."

— Eden Prairie junior forward Casey Mittelstadt on playing at the Xcel Energy Center

THREE STARS

1. Alex Adams, Grand Rapids: He scored this tournament's first overtime goal to defeat Bemidji 3-2. His goal came at 2:06 of the extra session on a great feed from Mitchell Mattson. His 22 goals lead the Thunderhawks.

2. Nick Leivermann, Eden Prairie: Two goals for the junior defenseman is reason enough to be recognized. But the second goal was something to behold. A rushing Leivermann maneuvered around an Anoka defenseman and fired the puck home.

3. Hank Sorensen, Wayzata: The junior defenseman not only played shut-down defense on Burnsville's top line but also got into the offensive mix with a forecheck and pass that set up a goal. He led all players in the second game with six hits.
