Is ‘Hamilton’ the musical coming to Minnesota?

WASHINGTON -- “Hamilton” producer Jeffrey Seller may have tipped off to Sen. Amy Klobuchar that his famous hip-hop musical is coming soon to Minnesota.

Klobuchar has been rap-engaging with Seller about the effects of “bots” when trying to buy online tickets. Klobuchar has a bill banning the use of ticket bots, which recently passed out of the Senate Commerce Committee.

Seller responded in rap-form on Monday to Klobuchar, cryptically suggesting the traveling show may some day be in the Twin Cities.

(To the tune of “Alexander Hamilton”)

“Minneapolis-St. Paul.

I sure love Minneapolis-St. Paul.

There’s a million fans who’ll see the show.

Just you wait ...

Or to quote one more (Hamilton creator) Lin-Manuel Miranda song:

We have a plan for Minneapolis that we will be announcing in the coming months."

Seller’s response comes after Klobuchar, in a rap, beseeched Seller to bring the Hamilton’s traveling show to Minnesota.
