Randolph moves into starting lineup

This is another stop on the Brad Miller retirement tour

Wolves coach Rick Adelman said Anthony Randolph, who has played well in recent games, will start tonight for the Wolves in place of rookie Derrick Williams.

Greetings. Kent Youngblood here. I'm covering the game tonight. Jerry Zgoda will cover tomorrow's game with the Grizzlies.

A couple of items surfaced pre-game today:

--Randolph will get the start tonight. Randolph is having another late-season surge for the team. He has averaged 22 points in his last three games, playing big minutes.

--Center Nikola Pekovic has decided to have surgery to remove bone spurs in his right ankle. He will go home to Europe for two weeks immediately after the season ends. Then he will return for the surgery, though he hasn't decided for sure who will do it and where. He said he will split his rehab time between the Twin Cities and Europe.

--Center Brad Miller, an Indiana native, is expecting at least 60 family and friends for this game. Miller, who will retire after the season, has been saying good bye at venues all around the league this season. But this one, obviously, is special. He grew up and still lives in Kendallville, Ind., played at Purdue and for a time with the Pacers.

That's about all for now. I'll get back to you after the game.
