Nordstrom has done a little bit of everything in high school. He is currently preparing for his final season as a member of the boys' tennis team. He has also run cross-country, played football and was a member of the school's Class 2A state championship wrestling team. Here is a closer look at Nordstrom:

Q The best movie you've seen in the last year is ...

A … "The Interview." I haven't seen many, though.

Q Three words or phrases your friends or teammates would use to describe me are …

A … hardworking, reliable, and determined.

Q Three songs you never skip on your iPod are …

A ... anything by Linkin Park or Mumford & Sons.

Q At your first varsity practice, you felt …

A ... nervous, but not a scared nervous. More of an excited nervous.

Q What is your favorite thing to eat before a game or match?

A A small bag of pretzels to calm any nerves.

Q What are your goals for the upcoming tennis season?

A I always aim to peak at the end of my seasons. Therefore, the next step is to try to peak at tennis sections.

Q What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete?

A Participating in the wrestling state tournament and winning the team title with my wrestling brothers.

Q If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be?

A To encourage more kids to play multiple sports. Too many kids focus all their time on one sport and never get an opportunity to enjoy the other sports.

Q How do you balance school and sports during the year?

A I have always participated in sports, so I have gotten pretty good at juggling the two.

Q Do you have a secret talent — and if so, what is it?

A I can ride a unicycle and walk on my slack line. I have not yet combined the two.
