Woodbury would like to cap her prep career with one last trip to the Class 2A gymnastics state meet. She will participate in the all-around competition for the Panthers. Here is a closer look at Woodbury:
Q The best movie you've seen in the last year?
A "Divergent."
Q Three words your friends or teammates would use to describe you are …
A ... dedicated, compassionate and caring.
Q Three songs I never skip on my iPod are …
A ... "Drink A Beer" by Luke Bryan; "Waiting For Superman" by Daughtry, and "Remember The Name" by Fort Minor.
Q Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why?
A Perfect Babies. I have an obsession with cute little children, so seeing the pictures they post on their account literally makes my day.
Q At my first varsity practice, I felt …
A ... both excited and nervous. My first varsity practice was in seventh grade and going into a varsity sport that young was scary. At the same time, I had never been so excited.
Q What is your favorite meal before meet?
A SpongeBob SquarePants macaroni and cheese. Yes, it always has to be SpongeBob.
Q What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete?
A Winning the Section 2 meet my freshman year. It was my first time going to state. [The Panthers finished fifth in the team competition at the state meet.]
Q What is the best sports advice you ever received?
A To forget about the competition and having to win every meet. Remember the reason why you love the sport and why you love competing.
