Age: 36. Lives in: Northeast Minneapolis. Occupation: Mother, hairstylist at BANGbang salon, student.

Q: You do it all -- cutting, gardening, baking. What's the common thread?

A: Hairdressing is an extremely social occupation, while baking and gardening are rather solitary pursuits. They serve to balance each other out.

Q: We really loved your "Shake 'n' Bake" baking-with-rappers show on MPLS.TV. Any plans to bring it back?

A: We have one episode with Astronautalis as a guest that has yet to be released. The plan was to crank a couple out this summer, but to be honest, I've been having a lot of fun this summer and haven't been actively working on it. We'll get around to producing more.

Q: What advice would you give someone who wants to get into gardening?

A: Start in the fall, and plant something easy and rewarding, like garlic. Be patient and make a lot of mistakes.

Q: What are your favorite things about fall in Minnesota?

A: What's there not to like? Fashion, comfort food, and that winter is near. Camping in the fall is pretty spectacular here in Minnesota, too.

Q: If you're out on the town, where are you most likely to be spotted?

A: BANGbang, First Avenue, Spyhouse and MCTC.
