Children's writer Rosemary Wells will be at the St. Paul Public Library next weekend as part of her national pajama party book tour. Her newest book is "Max and Ruby's Bedtime Book," but she is the author of more than 40 picture books about those adorable rabbits, Max and Ruby, with more than 3 million books in print.

Guests to next Sunday's event are invited to wear pajamas to the party. There will be door prizes, a reading and signing by Wells, and a special appearance by Max. (No word on where Ruby will be.)

It all begins at 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at the St. Paul Central Library, 90 W. 4th St., and is co-sponsored by the Red Balloon Bookstore.
