Metro Transit's Green Line was running again after experiencing some delays Tuesday night when protesters blocked the tracks along University Avenue.

The protests and delays were "intermittent," said Metro Transit spokesman Howie Padilla. He said he did not know who the protesters were or what they were protesting.

By 9:40 p.m., the trains were running again and working to get back on schedule.

St. Paul police spokesman Steve Linders said protesters began their march at Rice and University.
