Tickets prices for the Vikings' season opener went up as reports of Adrian Peterson's two-year deal with New Orleans began to surface.

In the moments after news broke, ticket prices for the Sept. 11 Monday Night Football opener against the Saints started at $96 on StubHub.

Most upper-deck tickets were $125 and up, and lower concourse seats started at $160. The most expensive tickets ranged from $1,400 to $1,950.

Within 24 hours, the Peterson effect had increased the cheapest available ticket on StubHub by 38 percent to $130 as of Wednesday morning. Upper-deck tickets also jumped in price with most options ranging from $148-$173. The cheapest lower-deck ticket increased to $181. Luxury options mostly remained the same.

So it seems Vikings fans still are willing to pay a premium price to see Peterson run the ball.
