Preview: The Wild stopped a three-game home winless streak with a 1-0 win over Toronto on Thursday. This is the first of consecutive games against the rival Avalanche; the Wild plays in Denver on Monday. Opening night in Denver on Oct. 8, the Wild rallied from a three-goal third-period deficit with four goals in 5 minutes, 7 seconds to win. The Avalanche has won four of its past six, including back-to-back 2-1 road wins at New Jersey and the Rangers.

Players to watch: Avs C Matt Duchene has 13 goals and eight assists in the past 15 games after scoring one goal in his first 11 games. LW Gabriel Landeskog has nine points in the past eight games. RW Jarome Iginla is the all-time leader against the Wild in points (70) and goals (38) and second in power-play goals (11). Wild LW Zach Parise has no goals and one assist in four games since returning from a sprained knee. In 15 games against Colorado with Minnesota, he has nine goals and 10 assists, plus another 10 points in the Wild's seven-game 2014 playoff win. LW Jason Zucker has no points in six games, RW Nino Niederreiter no points in seven games.

Numbers: Wild G Devan Dubnyk has nine shutouts in 61 games with the Wild after having nine in his previous 192 NHL appearances.

Injuries: Wild C Tyler Graovac (sports hernia) is out. Avs C Jesse Winchester (concussion), D Brad Stuart (undisclosed) and C Ben Street (chest) are out.
