Players to watch: Former Timberwolves guard Randy Foye shot 49.2 percent from three-point range for the month of January and also averaged 12.6 points and shot 46.9 from the field in 14 games that month. He carried that shooting into February, tying a season-high with six three-pointers at Portland on Feb. 2. He is starting at shooting guard beside veteran point guard Jamaal Tinsley. ... Former Timberwolf Al Jefferson is first among all NBA centers in field-goal attempts, second in field goals made and points per game, third in free-throw percentage, fifth in defensive rebounds, seventh among assists and 10th among steals. He is averaging 17.4 points and 9.5 rebounds a game. He is a free agent after the season and has been mentioned frequently in trade rumors.
