East Ridge 4, Rosemount 0: Luke Longmuir only gave up one-hit as he shut out the Irish in the Section 3, Class 4A tournament. The Raptors advance to the semifinals and will play Burnsville on Monday. The senior struck out six with just one walk.

Annandale 3, Eden Valley-Watkins 1: AJ Hinz pitched a complete game no hitter to lead the Cardinals into the next round of the Section 5 Class 2A tournament. The sophomore struck out 16 and walked two with no earned runs. Annandale's Cory Schmidt and Wyatt Haiby both went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Cretin-Derham Hall 9, White Bear Lake 0: Frank Kimlinger hit a grand slam to lead the Raiders. Senior Ben Harrison went 3-for-3. Cretin-Derham Hall will play Stillwater on Tuesday.

SOFTBALL

Andover 5, Cambridge-Isanti 3: Taylor Heifort gave up one run in six innings to help the Huskies top the Bluejackets in the first round of the Section 7 Class 4A tournament. Sidney Portner went 2-for-4 with a single and a triple. The senior scored once and knocked in another. Veronica Hondl knocked in two more for Andover. Cambridge-Isanti's Kayla Leibel had two RBI.

Rogers 10, St. Michael-Albertville 0: The No. 2 team in Class 4A, according to this week's coaches poll, easily advanced to the next round. Katelyn Kemmetmueller pitched a shutout with eight strikeouts while only giving up two hits. The senior also scored a run after hitting a single in the third inning. Melea Burns had three RBI on three-singles to lead the Royals. Coral Anderson also had a three-hit game for Rogers. The Royals will play Buffalo on Tuesday in the Section 8 semifinals.

Buffalo 4, Elk River 1: Emily Hansen's three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning gave the Bison a 3-1 lead. They added an insurance run in the seventh. Morgan DeMarais gave up three hits and struck out eight in the winning effort.
