The Watertown-Mayer volleyball team completed a 25-23, 25-19, 25-23 sweep of visiting Annandale by winning the last three points Tuesday. The Royals finished each set on a run of some kind.
The Royals scored the last four points to win the first set. After jumping out to a 10-2 lead in the second set, they outscored the Cardinals 7-5 at the end of the set for a 25-19 victory. By scoring the last three points, the Royals ended the game with a 25-23 victory in the third set.
Janessa Berrios led the Royals with 12 kills, four aces and 14 digs. Paige Thibault had 10 kills and 12 digs, Nikki McDonald had 29 set assists and six digs and Kylie Hoese had nine kills and eight digs.

Holy Family 1, Providence Academy 0: Luke Puklich scored in the first half to lift the Fire past the visiting Lions in the first round of the Class 1A, Section 6 playoffs. Peter Neve assisted on the goal.
Eastview 1, Burnsville 0: Jesus Vega lifted the Lightning past the Blaze in the Class 2A, Section 3 quarterfinals with an early goal. Tim Kapala assisted on the goal.
Richfield 2, Hopkins 0: Hector Lomeli scored two second-half goals to lift the Spartans past the host Royals in the Class 2A, Section 6 play-in game.
Irondale 1, Champlin Park 0: Hunter Totten scored a first half goal to lift the Knights past the host Rebels in the Class 2A, Section 5 quarterfinal round. Josue Del Rosario had an assist for the Knights.
Orono 11, Becker 0: Spencer Overturf scored four goals and had an assist to lead the Spartans past the visiting Bulldogs in the Class 1A, Section 6 first round. Christian Babo and Sam Bazil had two goals and two assists each, Guyveson Mohs had one goal and two assists, Reece Clifford had one goal and one assist and Christopher Nordlie had a goal for the Spartans.
