Twins manager Ron Gardenhire alluded to his team and the White Sox playing in, ``our own little race, and that's not good."
The Twins make up the caboose of the AL Central train right now, with Chicago sitting two games ahead. The Twins, who lead the season series 8-6, could take a couple steps toward getting out of last place. And it would get their September off to a good start. Remember, the Twins were 8-20 last September as everything fell apart en route to another 96-loss season.
In order for the Twins to avoid a fourth straight 90-loss season, they must go 13-12 over their last 25 games.
