Hello from TCF Bank Stadium, where the Gophers will kick off against Nebraska on 2:30 p.m., (ESPN2).

In studying this matchup, Nebraska has an unusual weapon in senior fullback Andy Janovich. He had a 55-yard touchdown run against Wisconsin last week, the longest run for a Huskers fullback since 2000.

"He's done a nice job of running the ball. He does a good job of blocking," Gophers defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys said. "They put him at tailback and some short yardage, and that's what's hard with them is all the different personnel groups. They run a lot of plays from fullback trap to quarterback counters. You see a lot of stuff."

In today's paper, I wrote about how coach Jerry Kill has used one particular quote to motivate the Gophers, especially this week. Wayzata grad Brandon Lingen is emerging as new threat at tight end, drawing comparisons to No. 88.

Here's a look at some of the key matchups, and my prediction.

Update: Gophers LB Cody Poock is doubtful today. Everett Williams could see big minutes.

All-Big Ten cornerback Briean Boddy-Calhoun is expected to return from his knee injury.

Update: Poock had a white layer covering his right leg in warm-ups. He was in uniform but didn't rep with the 1's or 2's. LB De'Vondre Campbell also was in uniform but didn't rep with the 1's or 2's.
