'A PRAIRIE HOME' IN HD

Thursday: It could turn into the clash of the raconteurs but Elvis Costello knows that "A Prairie Home Companion" is Garrison Keillor's gig so the witty Brit probably won't stray from the script. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is the only big name booked for "PHC's" first-ever live HD broadcast in movie theaters. Regulars Sue Scott, Tim Russell and Tom Keith will be on board at the Fitzgerald Theater along with Andra Suchy, Robin & Linda Williams and Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele. The show will air on the radio Feb. 6 and be re-screened in theaters on Feb. 9. Read Tuesday's Variety section to see what Keillor has to say about it.
