Wolves lose fifth straight, 99-90 at New Orleans

Hornets forward Jason Smith scores career-high 26 points

April 8, 2012 at 1:00PM

They're still 0-for-April, since 2009 if you want to get specific.

The Wolves lost their fifth straight game, their 13th in 17 games since Ricky Rubio was lost for the season and they now still have not won an April game since Kevin Love was a rookie.

Here's the game story from Saturday on a night when Hornets forward Jason Smith scored a career-high 26 points after making all eight first-half shots and finished 12 for 16 while frontcourt mate Chris Kaman went 8 for 9 himself.

There also should be video up here by morning from Kevin Love on his duel at power forward against Smith and from Michael Beasley about his 20-point night off the bench in his return from that sprained big toe injury.
