The Twins took it to the White Sox again, The Twins are 14-5 at The Cell since 2010. And they just kill Gavin Floyd. Their all-time batting average against him is .314 - and they have faced him a lot.

Here are three quick thoughts following the game:

1.Walters, how does he do it? His fastball was about 90 miles an hour on Tuesday but the pitch/FX called his pitches from 77-80 later in the game "Sliders" The Twins and Walters say it's more like a curveball. He already has a good change up but his curve was dropping out of the strike zone and Sox hitters could not touch it.

"He's kind of a quiet guy and just goes out there and attacks hitters," catcher Joe Mauer said.

Wait...Mauer called someone quiet? Wooooooooooow.

2. Funny moment. Cole De Vries had his gear packed in his old Gophers bag as he tried to leave the clubhouse after the game, and Gardy was all over the newbie. "Son, you need to get a suitcase," Gardy said. "And you can get someone to carry that bag for you. This is the big leagues."

Then Gardy noticed that De Vries had the heavy-looking bag slung over his pitching shoulder. "Is that your right shoulder?" Gardy said. "I'm really not comfortable with this situation now."

Everyone within earshot was busting up laughing. Gardy was kidding, in case you weren't sure.

3. Great defensive play. Alexi Casilla made a nice stop to his left in the ninth inning to stop Paul Konerko's hit bid, then spun and threw to first. The ball short-hopped Justin Morneau but he made a nice scoop to get the out. Great play on both ends.
