Here are three thoughts following the Twins' 10-0 win over Seattle on Sunday

1. DIAMOND GOES SIX: Before the game, both Ron Gardenhire and Terry Ryan spoke at length about the importance of their starting pitchers going deeper into games. The bullpen has logged a lot of innings, and the warning signs are there that the relievers could be gassed by August. So I thought Diamond was a lock for seven innings once the Twins handed him a nice lead. But Diamond was pulled after six. Gardy said the previous inning ran long, and they have been careful with Diamond since he's coming off of elbow chip surgery. ``We decided to end it on a good note." Gardy said. With the off day on Monday, the bullpen should be in good shape entering the road trip.

2. OUTFIELD ASSISTS: Chris Parmelee doesn't have great range in the outfield but he sure can throw. He gunned down Kendrys Morales with a perfect throw from right field in the fourth inning. As Parmelee ran down the ball, Aaron Hicks started yelling,`Throw this guy out!' So Hicks wants credit. The pair have 11 of the Twins' 19 outfield assists, which will lead teams to be less aggressive on the basepaths.

3. ROAD TRIP: O.K., they've got momentum. What will they do with it? They have two teams that have underperformced and can be had. The Twins should head into K.C. with images of the series sweep they suffered there in April. If the Twins think they have turned to corner they can't go belly-up on this road trip.

BONUS NOTE: Chris Colabello was sent back to Rochester following the game. Look for outfielder Clete Thomas to be called up to take Colabello's spot on the roster. The Twins really need a backup outfielder who can play outfield. The Twins will have to make another 40-man roster move to make it happen.
