SUMMER SET

Friday-next Sunday: From the 15,000-plus attendees to the ridiculously fun DJ sets in the neighboring hockey rink, last year's debut of the Summer Set Music & Camping Fest was a smashing success, despite — or maybe because of — its lineup being a strange hodgepodge of electronic dance, hip-hop and jam-band rock. This year's bill is just as wild, especially with Pittsburgh mashup wiz Girl Talk (DJ Gregg Gillis) joining the fray on Saturday alongside whiny, collegiate electro-pop favorites Passion Pit (pictured), preceded by Doomtree, Zedd and Blackalicious. Friday's lineup features the two "big acts," Colorado's sax-and-drums duo Big Gigantic (a hit last year) and OutKast rapper Big Boi, along with local favorites Poliça and even reggae legends the Wailers. The final day boasts STS9, Common, Diplo and Dessa, with dozens more each day. Glow sticks are optional. (3:30 p.m. Fri.-2:30 a.m. next Sun., Somerset Amphitheater, 715 Spring St., Somerset, Wis., $110 for three-day pass, $250 for campsite, SummersetFestival.com.)
